Innocence

I spent a few days this past week with my niece and nephew, Rachel and Drew Herman, my sister's children from London, Ohio. Drew will start Kindergarten on Monday, and Rachel will be in second grade. These two are so free-spirited and full of life--in the best way! Both are curious and confident and bright and funny and independent and demanding and BEAUTIFUL... and they LOVE LIFE!

Rachel wants to be a veterinarian (and, trust me...she WILL). And I am sure Drew will be a salesman of some sort....this kid with his convincing talk and good looks could persuade me to do just about ANYTHING! They love singing our rvcc Bible School songs and doing motions--especially as we go down the road in the car! They love nature walks through the creek with their new cousin, Jennifer (Troy's Jenn). They love spending the night with Baw-Baw (my mom) because they can do just about anything they want! Ahhh...the innocence of youth...how I long for those days.

He called a little child and had him stand among them. And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 18:2-4

What gorgeous kids! I wish I was as carefree now as I was at that age!

They are adorable. I think I'd let them do anything they wanted to do too!
